Sporting stars have turned to OnlyFans in their numbers since the subscription service hit the web back in 2016 - with Madelene Wright joining up after leaving Charlton Athletic.

The platform has given both current and retired sporting figures the chance to earn serious amounts of cash on the site which was named on Time's 100 Most Influential Companies list back in April.

With influencers posting content that can be provocative and sexually explicit, they earn revenue from subscribers - many of which might've known them during their time in professional sport.

Daily Star Sport has taken a look at eight well-known sporting figures that have signed up for OnlyFans, including Wright, and looked at how the experience went for them.

Madelene Wright

Former Charlton Athletic footballer Madelene Wright is now an OnlyFans star who launched her own £24 per month page after social media followers suggested she make one.

The 23-year-old was released from Charlton after being filmed allegedly inhaling a balloon and drinking champagne behind the wheel of a Range Rover.

With her OnlyFans link sitting in her Instagram bio, Madelene has 262 thousand followers on the platform, and many might well have moved over to the paid platform.

Her bio reads: "Angel face. Devil thoughts."

Tony Bellew

Tony Bellew joined OnlyFans back in March to the shock of the boxing community... but all is not what it seemed.

The OnlyFans Twitter account wrote: "The gloves are off as boxing champ @TonyBellew has joined us on OnlyFans. He’s offering the chance to join him outside the ring. You can catch unseen fitness and training footage and grab a peek into his lifestyle too. So give it your best shot."

With Tony saying: “Hello guys, I’m Tony Bellew and welcome to my OnlyFans. Here you’re gonna find some unseen videos, photos and footage of me."

Paige Spiranac

Former professional golfer Paige Spiranac is an American social media personality who claimed to have signed up for the OnlyFans platform back in April - but later admitted she was joking.

The 28-year-old has earned an army of followers on Instagram by posting post golfing and revealing content over the past few years, amassing over 3million as of December.

Revealing the top three most common questions she gets asked, Spiranac said in June: “The most common question I always get asked is ‘are my boobs real?’ Yes.

“And then the second one, well the second one is will I open an OnlyFans? No.”

Pearl Gonzalez

American mixed martial artist Pearl Gonzalez made her name on local circuits before joining Dana White at UFC back in 2017, losing to both Cynthia Calvillo and Poliana Botelho before moving to Invicta.

The 35-year-old teased on Instagram back in February that she had created OnlyFans, but ended up with her own premium content site called Pearls Paradise.

The site charged fans $9.99 (£7.45) a month, with a trial membership for free.

The tagline reads: "The type of girl you never forget. Welcome to Pearl's Paradize!"

Paige VanZant

Paige VanZant, like Pearl Gonzalez, created her own personal fan site this year, having expressed shock at people sending her money for nude photos beforehand.

PaigeFanZant.com also costs $9.99 (£7.45) a month, with a six-month offer for $53.94.

“Every time I check my social media, my fans are always asking me for more. By launching PaigeFanZant.com with FanTime, it makes it easier for followers to find the exclusive content I’ll be putting out” she said.

“Be sure to subscribe in the lead-up to my next fight. I’ll be giving an inside look at my training and recovery that you won’t find anywhere else!”

Liz Cambage

London-born professional basketball player Liz Cambage has had an accomplished career with the Australia national side, winning bronze at the London 2012 Olympics.

It was reported earlier this year that the 30-year-old had decided to sign up for OnlyFans, and she said she did it because she was 'reprimanded' by Basketball Australia.

She told The Herald Sun: "I was so scared to actually do it. But I had my friends and family push me and say don't worry what anyone says – people are either going to love you or hate you regardless."

With subscriptions going for free, she has a verified account on the site.

Renee Gracie

Renee Gracie, a former racing driver from Australia, is known for adult film.

The 25-year-old said back in 2019 that racing cars was no longer her passion after appearing in the Supercars Dunlop Series and Dunlop Super2 Series in 2016 and 2017.

Shortly after she began uploading to OnlyFans, and used her earnings to buy a Mercedes Supercar for around £190,000.

Erica Fontaine

American gymnast and Instagram star Erica Fontaine has almost 40,000 likes on OnlyFans, with subscriptions costing $9.99 (£7.45) per month.

Erica has just short of 600,000 followers on Instagram, and is currently a gymnast at West Virginia University Athletics.

The 23-year-old also has over 100,000 fans on TikTok.
