Indiana police have released shocking video of a gun-toting man who ambushed officers with an AR-15 after allegedly killing his neighbor.
Barry Freeman, 51, opened fire on multiple officers of the Evansville Police Department after they responded to a shots fired call along North Kentucky Avenue shortly after 9pm Friday night.
After ambushing officers, Freeman shot and killed neighbor, Jeffrey Kempf, 56, before he was shot and killed by a SWAT Team member of the department.
Police said they aren't sure why Freeman went on the shooting spree, but they believe it may have had something to do with a disagreement with a family member.
The shoot-out lasted for nearly an hour before Freeman was killed. Freeman, who was half-naked, fired dozens of rounds from the AR-15 and a shotgun.
Four law enforcement vehicles, four houses, and two businesses were damaged by the gunfire.

No officers or deputies were injured during the incident.
Surveillance video from a neighbor's house showed Freeman's assault on law enforcement.
Police body cameras also captured the event as it unfolded.
At the start of the video, a woman is heard speaking with a 911 dispatcher. She is heard telling the dispatcher: 'I'm pretty sure our neighbor shot a gun and he just took off running.'
But that initial information was incorrect, police said in a press conference on Tuesday.
After the 911 call, the video cuts to two responding officers searching for the gunman.

When police caught up with Freeman, he was waiting for them behind a parked car with the gun raised in an 'apparent ambush attempt'.
Freeman is then seen walking over to a fence to see where the officers went.
'Freeman fires multiple times at responding officers, striking one patrol car,' police said.
He also opened fire on another patrol car, and a photo of that car shows it riddled with bullets from the AR-15.
According to police, at one point Freeman's gun malfunctioned, preventing him from firing on other patrol cars arriving to the scene.
The video then cuts to an officer's body camera footage. Multiple shots are heard as officers try to determine where the shots are coming from.
Freeman then returns to the driveway with a shotgun and shot the neighbor, Jeffrey Kempf.
Police said they don't believe Freeman meant to shoot Kempf and instead was trying to shoot police officers.
'We believe Mr. Kempf came out of his home to see what was going on and was randomly targeted,' Sgt Jason Cullum, a spokesman for the Evansville Police Department said in press conference on Tuesday.
'Freeman's movements indicate he was looking for law enforcement targets,' police said.
The gunman then armed himself with the AR-15 and tried to shoot a police officer through the fence.
The officer returned fire. Freeman was shot twice in the chest twice and he can be seen falling to the ground in the video.

Cullum said authorities have no idea why he only targeted police because Freeman had only ever had a traffic citation in 2006
He then sits back up and fires his rifle several more times before he was taken into custody, police said. Freeman died a short time later.
Jeffrey Kempf's sister, Susie Martin, remembered her brother as a 'kindhearted guy who would do anything for anybody'.
Kempf was one of eight siblings. He was a mechanic who lived with his mother to help care for her, Martin told the Courier and Press.
He was well-known in the neighborhood, she said.
Neighbors told Kempf's family that after the first round of gunfire, Kempf went to his neighbor's yard to make sure everyone was okay.
'He went over to help, that's all,' Martin said.
Cullum said authorities have no idea why he only targeted police because Freeman had only ever had a traffic citation in 2006.
'This is one [case] that makes no sense at all,' Cullum said.
