Sam Hoare is a multi-talented British actor and director. Sam Hoare is known for portraying the role of rower Dickie Burnell, alongside Matt Smith, in the 2012 BBC One Olympic drama “Bert and Dickie.”

His real name is Simon Patrick Douro Hoare. Meanwhile, he is better known by the name Sam Hoare who was born on the 27th of June 1981, in the United Kingdom. He was born to his late father, Timothy James Douro Hoare while his mother’s name is “Linda” Kinvara Cayzer. His mother is the granddaughter of Herbert Cayzer, 1st Baron Rotherwick. Additionally, it is unclear whether he has any siblings or not, and very little is known about his early childhood life.

In 2007, he made his big screen debut in the fantasy adventure film “The Golden Compass” playing the role of Second-in-Command. That same year, he portrayed the role of Phil in the TV movie “Summerhill.” In 2009, she appeared in the British television soap opera “EastEnders” playing the role of Keiran.

Additionally, he portrayed the role of Gavin Peterson / Glen Newman in the TV series “Doctors” from 2008 to 2011. In the year 2011, he was seen playing the role of Nervous Recruit in the American superhero film “Captain America: The First Avenger”  based on the Marvel Comics character Captain America.

Next year, Hoare was cast in the 2012 BBC One Olympic drama “Bert and Dickie” portraying the role of rower Dickie Burnell, alongside Matt Smith. In 2013, he appeared as a guest star in BBC1’s “Father Brown” and Stephen Poliakoff’s BBC2 drama “Dancing on the Edge,” as well as a comedy lead in BBC1’s “Blandings,” based on P.G. Wodehouse’s celebrated stories starring Jennifer Saunders, Timothy Spall, David Walliams, and Paloma Faith.

He played production assistant Douglas Camfield in the BBC drama “An Adventure in Space and Time,” which commemorated Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary. In 2018, he was cast as Daniel Friend / Michael Bennett, in the British-French crime drama series, “Death in Paradise.”

Later, he starred as Johnny, in the 2022 British thriller mini-series, “The Ex-Wife.” Moreover, he shared the screen with stars such as Céline Buckens, Tom Mison, Janet Montgomery, Jordan Stephens, Clare Foster, Adam Drew, and Sam Hoare.
