Jane Fallon was born on December 9, 1960, in Harrow, London, England. Her parents run a  newsagent's shop and she was raised flat above her parents' shop. She attended  St Bernard's Convent School in Slough, Berkshire. Then she joined  University College London where she studied history.

Jane Fallon started her professional career in 1985. She produced the TV series, EastEnders from 1985-1994. Then she associated with a filmography like This Life (1996-1997), Undercover Heart (1998), Massive Landmarks of the 20th Century (1999), Teachers (2001), 20 Things to Do Before You're 30 (2002), Single (2003).

Fallon authored books as well. She released her first book, Getting Rid of Matthew in 2007. Some of her other books include Got You Back (2008), Foursome (2010), The Ugly Sister (2011), Skeletons (2014), Strictly Between Us (2016), My Sweet Revenge (2017) and Faking Friends (2018).
