Best foot forward: Jim Carey wore giant feet when he turned up for an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman in New York on Wednesday
Wearing surprisingly realistic fake feet instead of shoes, there was no missing Carrey.
And he certainly did not try to evade the prying eyes of his fans as he made his way inside, for he stopped outside the studio to pose for pictures and sign autographs.
The jolly Canadian was in town as he continues to promote his comedy magic movie The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.
Step aside: A bouncer made sure the funnyman had a clear path as he went to meet his adoring fans
And the 51-year-old certainly looked eye-catching in a patterned green silk blazer, T-shirt and black jeans.
Jim plays Steve Grey in the movie, an egotistical street-magician with a dangerous act who becomes the toast of Las Vegas.
His rise to stardom make's Steve Carrell's Wonderstone look old fashioned, and the latter endeavors to win back his crown as the best magician in Sin City in the comedy.
A shoe of enthusiasm: A veritable sea of supporters were patiently waiting to get an autograph
The pair previously starred in 2003 smash Bruce Almighty, and Jim said it was the chance to star on the big screen again with the star that made him accept the role.
He revealed: 'They said "Steve Carell," and I perked up. Obviously, he's phenomenal. He's hilarious. It was a thrill.
'I always love to be around him, and the part was so crazy and so off-the-wall and Svengali mind-tripper.
'I love the character because he just looks at everybody like their puny brains amuse him.'
