Daniel Allen Pitts
Daniel Allen Pitts, 84, of Ellisville passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024 in Ellisville. He was born Tuesday, Sept. 12, 1939 in Laurel.
Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 13, from 9-11 a.m. at Ellisville Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will then take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Laurel. Ellisville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Pitts was a loving father and uncle who worked for many years with the family-owned oil field business, Pitts Swabbing. He enjoyed working, hunting and fishing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Vester and Mary Parrish Pitts; brother Richard Pitts; and sisters-in-law Ruby Tucker Pitts and Gail Russell Pitts.
Survivors include his son Jeff Pitts (Kimber); brothers Billy Joe Pitts and Mike Pitts; and sister Dorothy Dunagin.
Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Pitts III, Mark Pitts Jr., Travis Roney, Brandon Boyanton, Blake Pitts and Zachary Harrison.Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Joe Pitts and Mike Pitts.
In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests that memorial contributions be made to Southern Pines Animal Shelter in Hattiesburg.
